MY CLIMBING ROOTS.

Though not fully my <<climbing roots>> as titled, Idaho does hold a lot of firsts and lessons learned. First multi-pitch, first lead, first mishap, first bail, and first booty (all in climbing terms, of course haha). The trip was a great relief from the SLC valley heat. We spent the weekend with C, S, and […]

BRANDING.

In the wake of a brewing spring storm the afternoon was spent playing cowboy, and learning the ropes from a real one Dustin’s dad. The farm filled with trucks, tractors, gates, and prodders unsurprisingly stands as a grand playground for fun to be had by all.

EDINBURGH.

“Plans ALWAYS change.” — Dustin Randall Sometimes husbands are right. It all started with a missed connection, AM jog through Heathrow, and a “flagged” passport…ending with lost luggage, which is the pits. Our plan was to catch an early AM train from Edinburgh to Inverness which would be the starting point of our biking tour. […]

SCOTLAND.

A great trip of firsts like crossing a single steel cable bridge in Fort William. Starting to shift though pictures and reminiscing on the great adventure we had.

THE CAUSEWAY.

Permits in process the only thing left is setting the course. We spent the weekend bushwhacking, biking snow covered roads,  making bliking a thing, scrambling chancy cliffs, and practicing our six-shooter draw, lest I mention we are dog-tired.

HURRICANE CLIFFS.

Hurricane Cliffs area is a maze of mellow single track trails. Good company, fun riding, and rad hashtags #ifyerbumssoreumustbhardcore

HART’S DRAW.

Stone throw away from town are drastic canyons, red rock, and tons of ground for exploring. Perfect for Sunday exploration.

ICE FEST.

This weekend was spent with our friend Dan Christopherson, of 12 Finger Outdoor Adventure, who threw the inaugural Ice Festival at Bridal Veil Falls. It was a great opportunity for the community to get out, try a few lines, learn from seasoned climbers, and most importantly get people out climbing.

YURT.

Every year we do an annual ski trip to the Monticello cabin. However, with snow fall being less than ideal, and our friend Scott kindly reminding us about a yurt he had talked us into reserving last year (it was big…planning a year in advance that is) we happily piled in the 4 runner and […]
